POset is short for “Partially Ordered Set”. POset is different from any of our other cats because we know when she was born (although we’ve forgotten). A graduate student friend of Mom’s adopted a pregnant stray. POset is one of her daughters.

POset is not a particularly friendly cat with strangers. She’s not at all agressive, instead she usually just disappears when unfamiliar faces are around.
