Quotidian Notes

At lunch, Alice asked “do grown ups have friends?”.

I tried to convince Charles that he should consider buying Mom a present for Christmas but he didn’t see why. After some further discussion he decided that it would be OK and that what Mom really wanted was a new Wii game or a Lego™ kit.

On Wednesday a hawk slammed in to our window. I first I thought my computer power supply had exploded again it was so loud. But everything seemed running so I checked for a bird strike and there on the back porch was a small hawk, laying on its back and twitching. I thought it was dead but when I went out to clean up the body 20 minutes later or so it was gone. It must have been just stunned. My initial thought was “dang, I should have gotten a picture right away!”.

Mom bought Alice some ruby slippers.
