Tonight was the Boy Scout Halloween party. Corwin went by himself because he didn’t want any siblings cramping his style. That turned out to be the right choice as I didn’t see any other younger siblings about. Sadly, it delayed Corwin’s reunion with the Wii but he bore the burden bravely.
Corwin’s costume was as Death, with his companion “Death of Rats”. This was the Mayflower ship rat dressed in dark green silk robe and hood (made from one of my failed thermal undershirts). Corwin actually worked on the rat’s costume more than his own, the latter being some black clothes and my early Renaissance brown riding cloak. Mom I think helped Corwin with the sewing (including repair surgery on the rat). Corwin also made a little scythe out of a small stick and aluminum foil for ‘Death of Rats’ to carry.
As for the other costumes, I was amazed at the lack of color in the group. They were almost entirely black or grey, with a bit of white and brown. Somber bunch, those Boy Scouts.
