Podding along

On the trip to Lake Buchanan, Alice had her first iPod experience. I had ripped all of our Laurie Berkner CDs, thinking we could then play them off the iPod in to the car stereo. But the auxillary input only works for the rear part of the sound system. This became an issue when Alice started demanding to hear “the train song1”.

Fortunately we had purchased a third van headset so that all three kids could listen to movies. This has accustomed Alice to wearing headphones. I was therefore able to put my headpones on Alice so she could listen to her preferred music. In this way Alice was introduced to technology she’ll disparage as being for old fogies when she’s a teenager.
