Travel Day

Corwin is a good little traveler. The trip down was pretty uneventful. Corwin slept some on the first flight to Atlanta, and watch the sitcom TV stuff. On the second flight to Guatemala City, Corwin watched The Manchurian Candidate since he already had the ear phones. He didn’t seem to freaked out about it and more interested in looking out the window, so I don’t think he was permanently scarred.

Tara and Josh arranged for vans to shuttle us to Antigua about 40 minutes away. That night Tara’s folks took everyone to eat at an Argentinian restraunt. They served serious quantities of meat. Corwin passed out after the salad though. The waiter made up a nice little bed for him, and a waitress eventually brought a table cloth to cover him up.

That is the wierd thing here. There is kind of an arbitrary separation between inside and outside. There are no bugs, so there are lots of courtyards and few walls. We’ve eaten outside each evening so far. Which is nice but a little cold.
