Charles got through the entire weekend without soiling his pants. At least three times he went and made poop on the potty without prompting by the parents. We had to prompt him some on urinating, but he took care of that at least a couple of times by himself. He even slept in underwear last night without a problem. Many other parents have told us that their children became potty trained very suddenly. If Charles doesn’t revert, then he basically became potty trained last Friday when for the first time Charles went poop all by himself without prompting.
We are going heavy on the re-enforcement to try to lock it in. Is our long nightmare finally over? Will Charles be potty trained before Alice? Tune in later for the exciting conclusion!
UPDATE: It’s Tuesday morning and Charles is still unsoiled. There’s a bit of a problem in that since he doesn’t tell us he went poop, he doesn’t get cleaned up afterwards but that’s much less of a problem than soiling his pants so I’m OK with it for now.
